Brunch with my lady friends

The perfect way to recover from a long night is with a lovely brunch with my best lady friends! We Sofia's dad has a new apartment and he allowed us to brunch there. It's so nice and light and just amazing!

I brought my amazing choc chip cookies:)

Thanks to Sofia we had the yummiest bread in town from Café Merci!

Pre Prom: Drinks, photographs, yummy bites, and limos

Yesterday was our prom. It was so much fun! We partied it up on the dance floor, teachers and students together! For Pre Prom we went to my friend Kate's and had champagne and little bites to eat. We took plenty of photos.

Summertime

Finally it's geting warmer!! Summertime! Everywhere are strawberry and asparagus stands! Yumm! It's my favourite culinary season! All the fresh fruit and vegetables are beautiful and so tasty!

I have this awesome chair on my balcony but I haven't had a chance to sit and relax it because of all the school work we have been getting lately. I am so bummed!

I have been thinking to invite some friends over for a dinner in our garden sometime soon... :)

This year I have decided to actually study for exams... too bad I think I failed my math exam... Better luck next time!

I found this vintage bag in my dad's closet and decided to make it my new school bag.. What do you think?

What to do with an empty wall?

Higher Level Art is a lot of hard work and I often find it hard to get my thoughts organized. So yesterday and today I have been working on hanging up sketches I have made, images I like, and quotes that inspire me.

Perhaps having all this imagery right in front of me, will help me come up with ideas for successful portfolio pieces!

Culinary Heaven

So yesterday I was at the doctor's instead of going to school and thereafter Mom and I went to this delicacy store in Frankfurt and bought a bunch of yummy foods! we may have splurged a bit, and perhaps I had a little too many tortellini for dinner, but it was totally worth breaking my post winter diet!

Since we have a week off school I jetted over to Abu Dhabi to visit my Dad, Sister and friends.
Today I had an amazing lunch at 'The One' and now I'm relaxing at home, drinking my third cup of vanilla tea and looking through cookbooks.
I'm so inspired by all the recipes I found in here. I'm considering to try myself at a soufflé...

My mom got back from the swiss Hotel Jungfrau Victoria. Apparently it's soo nice! I really jealous!
But she brought me a little souvenir chocolate, which I can't wait to eat!

Accidents can happen..

At the moment I am home alone because my mom is in Switzerland on vacation with a friend of hers.
This means getting ready for school on my own, cooking for myself, keeping the house in decent shape...
no problem!! Except, today when my alarm decided to go on a little vacation of it's own.. Usually my blackberry alarm is very reliable and is one of the few alarms that manages to instantly wake me, due to it's loud annoying sound. However this morning it failed to wake me and so when I awoke at 10.20 I was sort of shocked. My school is kind of far away and very hard to reach through public transportation, so I called my grandpa to see if he had time drive me. He didn't, and when I looked up my train/bus connection I realized it would be another 2 and a half hours before I would set foot in school... So, I checked my schedule to find that I wouldn't be missing anything too significant and decided to stay home:)

I decided to do something somewhat productive and so I baked a cake. Because we currently have somewhat of a food shortage in our house I found myself pretty limited as to what recipe I could pick. I decided to go for this one from smittenkitchen.

Today, clearly is NOT my day! Because in the recipe it says to seperate the eggs and first use the egg yellows.. silly me thought I didn't need the egg whites and so poured them down the sink... Turns out they needed to be beaten stiff... I needed 3 egg whites , but we only had 2 eggs left, so I used those.
Also, I didn't really beat them, because to be honest, I was too lazy. haha.

Surprisingely enough, my cake still turned out yummy!! But next time I will follow the recipe anyways... and be sure to read through it before starting!

My motto for today: accidents can happen!

Yesterday my friend Meg and I decided to enjoy a little bit of champagne. We felt very posh drinking it out of these elegant glasses.
